Any thoughts on the Little Bastard Foxen?
Last night I heard the ghetto bird circle.... as I was eatin' fish.... and watchin' Erkel...

Mr. Foxen

I am awaiting arrival of my 550. Just sold my 30w one, its really nice, but not short of really nice valve amps. Sounds like an old valve amp, and can crank it to filth, which the guy did, so think my formerly sleeping housemate is gonna hate me.

Zvex Machine on Ebay for $155 plus shipping, seller keeps dropping the price 5 dollars every time it doesn't sell (it should go soon, now it's below half the price of a brand new one). The newer versions have a 9 volt input and an LED (the old ones need a battery, or file a hole in the casing). These are pretty rad, and they rarely came up used before (would be more in the low 200s used). They are low power consumption so a battery lasts a long time (if you pull the cables out between use) but not having an LED is dumb. "You'll know when it's on!" uh okay Zach...

Bums me out because I have an old Machine I wanna sell too, and I was hoping to get more than that. But yeah, hot deal!

Called MF and said 'you are shipping the wrong amp, don't do that' and they said they can't recall the shipped amp before it arrives, and I need to pay return shipping if it isn't what I want (ordered) when it shows. Called Paypal, and since payment hasn't cleared, they are gonna recall that, and we'll see if they can recall the shipped item or not.

AgentofOblivion

When it gets there and they ask for it back you can honestly say, "I don't have one of those."

Used HBE "UFO" Fuzz (Ultimate Fuzz Octave) for 99 bucks shipped, like new. (Good deal, they are typically $120, used). I'm supposed to be downsizing, otherwise I would buy this myself.

This is the octave fuzz (octave up) that lets you blend in the most high octave tone into your mix (some other octave fuzz have a really weak octave effect). The octave volume has it's own knob. The octave is also on a separate switch ("8VA") so you can flick it off completely for rhythm parts. Also, the basic fuzz sound has two styles (toggle switch): vintage or modern. Check it out via Youtube demos etc. Get your Hendrixy solos on. Hendrixy solos are the thing that's missing from today's Stoner Rock. Srsly.

the whole way overinflated pedal market will soon crash since everyone big and small is into it. this is the most overinflated product since furniture.

guitar center has an ocean of pedals now.

I have been feeling the same way just about gear in general. I feel like it is just not worthy investment unless it is brand name amp or guitar and even, look how long quality stuff from Gibson/Fender/Marshall/Vox stay up for sale from owners.

AgentofOblivion

That's why I've only been buying limited run stuff when it comes to expensive gear.  That said, companies know these sorts of things are keeping them afloat in the high-end market and are starting to saturate the market with limited runs.  Everything is a limited fucking run.  But whatevs, my "Burnt Pine" telecaster with ebony fretboard is the tits!

Yes, that puts the wind in my sails.  Unfortunately, with the move to Clevo my funds are stretched.  One could buy that and turn it around for 4 bills easy.

Yeah, a couple years ago I decided that gear that wasn't re-sellable wasn't on my hot list anymore. I look at craigslist and the auction place and don't see anybody that wants to truly unload their gear. Anything that I sold was pretty good stuff, and desirable to some, but it went at what I would consider bottom dollar.

It'd be interesting to experiment with a Les Paul or something that's a blue chip to buy one on c-list, then flip it on ebay for no reserve, to see where it would trade. Right now, I don't see anything on the bay without a reserve, or a starting bid that is right there at the trading line (for a les paul anyway). I'd like to try this with someone else's money.
Vinyls.   deal.
