^ I thought the same thing. I figured it's a bunch of factors.

1) HD - you get to see every fault ever - not something I'm used to after 40 years of analogue.

2) sometimes she gets electrolysis on her cheeks during an episode, makes for weird transitions

3) definitely the makeup, sometimes it's blochier than others

4) I agree she looks out-of-place as anything but a red head

plus she's a whacky Scientologist, which screws everything up.

That was pretty funny.  


I really enjoyed the season. Jason Biggs is always annoying and I never like anything that 70's show girl outside of that particular sitcom. Great cast of characters and back stories, though. And I have a major crush on the actress that played Daya.

I thought they did a nice job of depicting the emotional prisons that are created inside the walls, but was hoping they were going to play the prison environment "heavier" to make it feel more oppressive. I spent 3-4 hours on a prison tour a few years back in a college class and that place was terrifying. The sheer pressure and energy inside was indescribable (alien-like). Still, looking forward to the next season.
