Nice! I really like the upper octave fuzzes (like the Zvex Octane 3 as played by Chovie D) and IMO that Hendrixy octave up lead tone is missing from today's modern stoner rock. I know nobody can solo like Hendrix did, but it seems like that is a relatively untapped area to explore. Guitar solos are kind of a dying art though, I guess.

Also, those B:assmasters are my favorite bass fuzz (CID Vicious). Tons of gravelly texture but you retain pretty much all of your individual note definition. No muddiness making notes blur together. You can actually play heavy bass runs and they don't sound like a mess.

Impulse eBay purchase yesterday... a '77 Greco. It's a Jeff Beck-inspired guitar with everything I personally want in a Lester — wraparound '54 tailpiece (my absolute fav bridge on a Gibson), oxblood finish, nickel pup covers, amber knobs w/ cream hardware, neck binding with fret nibs, and the fact that it's NOT a Gibson makes me like it even more. I can be a petty bastard and have a love/hate/HATE relationship with Gibson.

PS, the Gibson version is $17,000. Seriously.

thanks lumpy! i agree about the lack of octave fuzz in stoner rock... bringin it back. i also have a mjm china fuzz, (superfuzz clone), that scrambles well. maybe i'll put er' on the board.

also, i made a vid w/the China Fuzz i was talking up.
bored and had the night off of work so i put it together.
it's not a really pronounced octave fuzz, but sounds quite like a 'scrambler' or like an actual super fuzz.
you be the judge.
but when it hit the switch at 1:43... all hell breaks loose! fuzzapocalypyse!
