Been drinking a lot of white wines lately. Nice summer lightness. Pino Gris today but mostly Sauvignon blanc. Huge gamble at the supermarket, pick whatever label looks convincing.

Gruner veltliner is an Austrian type white that you might like. Or viognier a French white or even a Spanish txakolina. This one is pretty low ABV so don't feel too bad if you drink the whole bottle. Ya get the correct pour spout though.

Alright, thanks! I picked up a viognier. I'll go back for the Grüner Veltliner. Also got a Tempranillo. All maintence quality, day to day sippers. A nice base.

Yes, the voignier is better chiiled cooler

yeah, gruner veltliner can be pretty good. i always find myself with vinho verdes at such times, but, meh.

this: homemade lapsang souchong bochet - smoked black tea burnt honey mead. all wild yeast, 3.5 years in the bottle. weird angle cause i had to keep bending over farther to catch the light through.
