Im serious, you kids wanna drop some coin and buy one? At least so we can get it, gutshot it, do proper demos, and send the fucker back? We need a jamroom youtube channel...

:D

I wish the world was like this for real, it probably wouldn't work out properly.
You buy it, send it to me, I'll gut it, and make you a surprise ;D

Behringer comments on user videos on youtube. I like behringer.

i had an old behringer amp where everything went to 13, hahaha funny Germans

bitter

I still have and use my behringer 1x10 combo amp that I got in 2002. Sansamp preamp, ~30 watt, and a 10" jensen.

I doesn't always work "well" but still gets used all the time indoors.

^ I also bought one of these for noodling but I tune too low for it to be effective. Noisy ass hell too.
Oh Andy I'm gonna go over to mount pilot and worship Satan

That Univox is walking distance to my house. Besides tubes, you should count on needing a tune-up.

By tune-up, he means a recap, and a good cleaning of the pots, and removal of that dodgy suicide cap on the xfmr primary ;)

Just FYI:

I'd go for it myself, not a bad deal (to me) ;)

It's not going to be a big loud sludgey bass amp, but could kill for guitar.

Rehousing is easy, true bypass is trickier, same as with any buffered pedal, you have to be able to make sure the circuit is jammed on, so you can bypass it, that involves circuit mods.

If you just want to rehouse it, you can replace the switch with a momentary footswitch like this one.

Don't forget the circuits they are cloning weren't true bypass to begin with. The general consensus for people wanting to convert Boss, DOD, Behringer, Danelectro, Arion etc. pedals to true bypass is just to make a loopbox around the pedal, and leave it switched on, see Spook's home made Looper as an example.

Lumpy

The Behringer boxes are the most cheapest, crummiest boxes imaginable. Okay for home use. Rehousing would be a must, for real use (unless maybe 'always on'... the stomp mechanism is crummy too). Even then, a backup would be good.

Best use for these would be "I wonder if I would like a _____ pedal" (flanger, phaser, etc) then it's a low-stakes way to try different effects, before moving up to something more sturdy.

bitter

yep, they're more for funsies and experimentation.

We should by the lot and make a community pedal library. Let Hemi or Sunn 0))) keep them and send them out to guys. they're so cheap that a $25-30 deposit would cover shipping or any breakdowns.

just a thought.

That's actually bullshit. Mine has been thrown in my gig bag, stuffed down the back of the seat and dragged round the country, I wear steel-toe boots, oftentimes I miss with the sole, and hit with the heel, it's still ticking.

It's plastic so it might be flimsier, but it ain't necessarily so.

Worst I've got is a little kink in the bottom of the case edging. Which probably wouldn't have happened if I hadn't taken the big metal plate of the thing, before dropping it onto concrete. ;D
