yea it has to do with the huge output impedance of the loop, something like ~100k or so which is fuckin shit unless your pedal has a built in hi impedance imputs possibly with an input buffer

It was originally created to be used with the stand alone reverb units

they have usual tube gain stage type impedance and input levels which were well matched for the that kind of loop

Didju buy a Super Twin and convert to a head, or did you just track down a pre-converted head?  It's on my grand "to-do" list. 135 ultralinear watts just isn't cutting it.
