I took my little nephews to see the Muppets. It was better than I expected. There were some big laughs. I realize its not a big Stoner Rock movie but fuck it. I really dig it.

It was ok.  Far too familiar with the JC one.  Basically the same blueprint, nothing extraordinary.  It looked good, but the story was a direct rip off of the John Carpenter version.  I'd just stick to the JC one.

I don't see the point of these movies. I'm not one to jump on the M. Bay hate wagon, but I ain't into all the explosions and action.

Dude it's a movie about Norwegian Ninjas training and fighting a nefarious shadow agency.  That cost about $1000 to make.

That's at the house now, can't wait to watch it.  I fucking love Kenny Powers Danny McBride.

In some ways Danny McBride's character has many similarities to Kenny Powers. Also, McBrides' characters cell phone ringer is awesome.

I finally watched The Troll Hunter. I really liked this and was bummed I skipped over it initially, thinking it was one of those made-for-SYFY style movies.

I don't see the point of these movies. I'm not one to jump on the M. Bay hate wagon, but I ain't into all the explosions and action. 

Saw this over the weekend.  Why the hell were there so many Coen bros. regulars in this?  I get that Torturro has been cashing checks since day one, but McDormand and Malkovich made it seem like a deliberate choice...  You can't just hire artistic credibility, Bay!  You make 'splosion movies!

Also saw Hanna.  While I dug aggro-synth electro fight scenes, I thought all the stylicization scored a little too high in both the categories of artsyness AND fartsyness.  And the plot was little hum-ho.
